Muskie Safari Mr. Automatic 10" Count-Down Glide Bait Fire-Tiger Clown
Every Mr. Automatic glider is individually tuned and tank tested to provide you with a proven musky catching lure. The attention given to the weighting process insures an underwater “walk-the-dog” action muskies can’t resist. Constructed from White Oak with only the best terminal tackle available, this bait is uncompromising in construction, performance and appearance.
Mr. Automatic is designed to give muskies an “easy target” when a moderate retrieve is used. It will run 1-2 ft under the surface and is perfect for working over weed tops, submerged wood, and covering flats. This bait is absolutely deadly for casting into the shallows and bringing back over drop offs.
I urge you to try this bait on “Opening Day”. Don’t talk yourself into thinking this bait is “too big” or it isn’t a “Spring” bait. Mr. Automatic is truly an unfair advantage when worked SLOWLY in early season cold water. It’s also a great cold front bait. You can move fish in these tough conditions…. when most others won’t . Fall is a magical time for Mr. Automatic. When the water temp drops to 55*F, this bait starts to produce big time. If its time to start soaking suckers, its time to pull out Mr. Automatic and tag-team ‘em.
How to work: Cast the bait out and immediately position your rod tip at “4:00 o’clock”. By using short, sharp snaps on your rod tip (from 4:00 o’clock to 4:30) this bait will perform a subsurface “walk-the-dog” action. Let the bait almost “stall out” before giving it another snap. If a fish starts to follow, give the bait harder snaps with longer pauses. This will cause the bait to cover more water left-to-right and look like its “panicking”. Speeding up your retrieve is another option to trigger that fish.
